Home of Australian Geckos
Far North Queensland’s Specialist in the research, husbandry and breeding of various species of Australian Gekkonidae.
Over the years I have had numerous people ask me varied questions on the keeping requirements of various gecko species, to try and answer these questions I have started this web site to try and give ‘newbies’ into the hobby some understanding on the requirements, care and breeding of some of Australians most unique reptiles... The Gecko.
Australia is made up of some 100+ species of Gecko, many are arboreal in nature and then others are more terrestrial, and then you get those species that fit in between both.
Some species are endemic to Australia’s dry arid centre, while others are more suited to a tropical environment, the diversity is amazing.
All Gecko species whether arboreal or terrestrial by nature can be catered for easily. Enclosures can be inexpensive or expensive depending on what limits you wish to go to, but over all its important that the enclosure is suitable and furnished to suit the species you are intending on purchasing.
